• TEILNAHMEBERECHTIGT sind Komponist(inn)en aller Nationalitäten bis 45 Jahre (Stichtag: 28.2.2014), ausgenommen Komponist(inn)en früherer Pflichtstücke für den Rosario-Marciano-Klavierwettbewerb. Die Komponistin/der Komponist des prämierten Werks ist von der Teilnahme am Rosario-Marciano-Klavierwettbewerb 2014 ausgeschlossen.
• FORMAT: 5 vollständig ausgedruckte Kopien auf DIN A 4 oder „Letter“-Format.
• DAS WERK soll den Pianistinnen und Pianisten die Möglichkeit zur Demonstration ihrer musikalischen und technischen Fähigkeiten geben.
• VERÖFFENTLICHUNG: Die Komposition soll bis einschließlich 15. März (das prämierte Werk bis 23. August) 2014 nicht veröffentlicht oder öffentlich aufgeführt werden.
• EINSENDUNG: Die Ausdrucke des Werkes sollen anonym, mit einem Kennwort versehen, in einem Briefkuvert eingesandt werden. Dieses Kuvert soll ein weiteres verschlossenes Kuvert enthalten, auf dem abermals das Kennwort angegeben ist und das ein Blatt mit Namen, Anschrift und Email-Adresse, eine Kopie des Reisepasses und eine kurze Biographie der Komponistin oder des Komponisten enthält.

• DIE ENTSCHEIDUNG fällt bis zum 15. März 2014 durch eine
  JURY, die aus folgenden Vertreterinnen und Vertretern der internationalen Komponist(inn)enszene und der Vienna International Pianists besteht:
  • Alexandra Karastoyanova-Hermentin
  • Carol Morgan
  • Jorge Sánchez-Chiong
  • Judit Varga
  • Stephan Möller (Vorsitz).
  Die Entscheidung dieser Jury ist unanfechtbar. Die Gewinnerin oder der Gewinner wird unverzüglich per Email (wenn vorhanden, sonst postalisch) benachrichtigt und gebeten, ihre/seine Bankverbindung bekannt zu geben. Das Werk wird dann auf der Website www.pianists.at zum Download bereitgestellt.
• PRÄMIE: Das ausgewählte Werk wird mit einer Prämie von Euro 500,- dotiert, die spätestens zwei Wochen nach dem Erhalt der Bankverbindung ausbezahlt wird.
• PFLICHTSTÜCK: Das Werk wird als Pflichtstück in der 2. Runde der Altersgruppe I (18-30 Jahre) und im Abschlusskonzert des 6. Internationalen Rosario-Marciano-Klavierwettbewerbs (16.-23. August 2014) im Ehrbarsaal in Wien aufgeführt werden. Es darf auch von TeilnehmerInnen der niedrigeren Altersgruppen gespielt werden. Die nach Ansicht der Wettbewerbsjury beste Interpretation wird mit einem Sonderpreis prämiert.
• ABGELTUNGEN: Den teilnehmenden Komponistinnen und Komponisten entstehen keine Ansprüche auf irgendwelche Abgeltungen aus Aufführungen oder Ton- und Bildaufnahmen während des Klavierwettbewerbs.
• RÜCKSENDUNG: Die nicht prämierten Werke können auf Wunsch der jeweiligen Komponistin / des jeweiligen Komponisten zurückgesandt werden. In dem Falle ist ein ausreichend frankiertes und adressiertes Rückkuvert den Unterlagen beizufügen.
• AUSSCHLUSSGRÜNDE: Werke, die den obengenannten Richtlinien nicht entsprechen, mit unvollständigen Unterlagen eingesandt werden oder für die keine rechtzeitige Einzahlung festgestellt werden kann, werden vom Wettbewerb ausgeschlossen.
  Gerichtsstand: Wien, Österreich. In Zweifelsfällen ist allein der deutsche Text maßgebend.

• DURATION: minimum 4, maximum 5 minutes.
  
• PLAYING TECHNIQUE: no preparations or additional instruments allowed.
  
• DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: 28 February 2014 (date of postmark).
  
• ELIGIBILITY: The competition is open to composers of all nationalities up to 45 years of age, as of 28 February 2014, at the exempt of composers of compulsory pieces of previous Rosario Marciano Piano Competitions. The composer of the winning work will not be allowed to participate at the Rosario Marciano Piano Competition 2014.
  
• FORMAT: 5 fully printed copies on DIN A 4 or Letter format
  
• CHARACTER:The work should give pianists the opportunity to show their musical and technical skills.
  
• PUBLISHING: The composition may not be published or be performed in public up to and including 15 March (the winning composition: 23 August) 2014.
  
• SUBMISSION: The printouts of the work must be sent anonymously in an envelope marked with the password. This envelope should also contain another envelope, on which again the password is given, and which also contains a sheet giving the full name, address and email address, passport copy and a short biography of the composer.

• THE DECISION: The jury will reach a decision by 15 March 2014.

  The decision of the jury is final. The winner will immediately be notified via e-mail (if available, otherwise by post) and asked to disclose his / her bank account. The score will then be made available to download on the website www.pianists.at.
  
• PRIZE: The selected composition is endowed with a premium of 500 Euros, which will be paid no later than two weeks after the receipt of the winner’s bank information.
  PURPOSE: The work will be played as a compulsory piece in the second round of the age group I (18-30 years) and in the final concert of the 6th International Rosario Marciano Piano Competition (16 to 23 August 2014) at Ehrbar Hall in Vienna, Austria. It may also be played by participants in the younger age groups. The best interpretation in the jury's view will be awarded with a special prize.
  
• REFUNDS: No compensation claims will arise for the participating composers from any performances or sound or video recordings during the piano competition.
  
• BACK-SENDING: The submitted scores of the non-winning works can be returned on request. In that case a return envelope, sufficiently stamped and self-addressed, should be enclosed with the other documents.
  
• REASONS FOR EXCLUSION: Works that do not meet the above guidelines, are submitted with incomplete documentation or for which no timely deposit may be found will be excluded from the competition.
